I finished Psycho Ex Game a couple nights ago, and only just realized why it bothered me so much. The conceit is marvelous; at the same time it's familiar territory, and it's screamingly funny when it wants to be. So why didn't I like it more?

It finally came to me, whom she reminds me of, and when it hit me I was just reviled. And it was only a few short leaps in logic before I was put off Rent completely. She's Maureen. She's That Girl. Take Me Or Leave Me gives me the shivers now, and not in a good way. And for once, that's not funny.
