Your Super Bowl Champions, the Indianapolis Colts

Prepare ye the way of the Laser Rocket Arm.

I'm not gonna lie: We started putting up the Fatheads at halftime. And it was difficult to recreate the emotions of the AFC Championship, but man alive, am I feeling it now. Not the most riveting game ever, but it was the Colts, so I stayed riveted. Honestly, if there'd been any more theatrics after the last game I might've dropped dead on the spot.

And here we are. We watched him from the sun-drenched bleachers at Neyland, from the ice-crusted darkness of Foxboro, and under the hot lights in the RCA. And now I'm sitting here surrounded by friends, phone ringing off the hook, laughing my ass off on Deadspin, watching Peyton lift the Lombardi Trophy.

Oh, this is wicked sweet.

The Bears ARE who we THOUGHT they were!

And an ENTIRE GAME without a This Is Our Country attack. I think beating the Pats closed up the seventh seal.

We realized midgame that you can actually pinpoint when Rex throws with his eyes open and when he throws with his eyes clenched tightly shut. He tilts his head almost all the way back like he's stargazing--there is no way he can see downfield--and just CHUCKS it. Every single time he did this, it was a grotesque turnover. At this point, he should just write a letter to the Chicago Tribune that says "catch me before I kill again!". Also, he totally got MY vote for Game MVP.

A personal note of congratulations to my only/new Colts fan friend. I was defintely pulling for the Colts so you could enjoy a victory. The game even worked out well for me, as I won $30. When you come down ever so slightly from the high you're on now, it'll be good to hear about it all. Someday I'll be collecting on my Deadspin-related smooches (ha!). But anyways, congrats on the win and you definitely deserve to celebrate and enjoy it.

Yeah, my lip-lock roster has sort of exploded in the last couple weeks, but the wins were worth the promises. Now, delivering on all of them without drawing the wrath of a certain hyperprotective someone is going to be another matter entirely...don't hate the player, baby.
