I'm bizzy (WE KNOW), but if anyone's looking for amusement this afternoon: Joan/Livia, my darling hetero lifemate, is right in the middle of being called a racist (in April) for comments made on her Oscar picks guest post (in February). By a total stranger. Who's so out of touch that he a) lists a juno.com email address, and b) doesn't pick up on the "_____ doesn't care about _____ people" Kanye meme. (Who I'm still not entirely convinced is not Forest Whitaker Googling himself.) Now, posting as "Helen Mirren Is A Bitch" might not have been the best way for her to defuse the situation, but I really think he's overreacting. And her retort is an instant classic.

You know what the best part of this is? I straight up SAID in my Oscar picks that I hadn't seen Dreamgirls, and that the only reason I was picking Eddie Murphy was because I like him so much, and STILL this guy goes all apeshit like I'm actually a voting member of the Academy. THEN he accuses me of being a racist, even though I HAVE JUST STATED my unquenchable lust for Eddie Murphy. His attack comes not from the front, but from the side, vague and unfocused. Just like Forest Whitaker's wonky eye.
