Although the sequins on the chimney sweeps are a bit much.

Catch the rebroadcast of the Tonys if you can. Bill T. Jones dances up the aisle to collect his statue. Eddie Izzard makes his envelope into a whistle. Audra McDonald's dance. Julie White, I'm pretty sure, cusses her way up onto the stage at the top of her lungs. And Miss Mary Louise Wilson gets up onstage, takes her statue, remarks that "Everyone's been so articulate", then throws her head back and howls like a banshee.

And Coast of Utopia FTW. I read it almost exactly two years ago, and never dreamed it would get this kind of support. Oh, Coast of Utopia. Oh, the thought of a repertory company at Lincoln Center. Oh, this is one of those nights when I'm certain beyond a doubt I'm on the wrong coast.

The beauty belongs to them.

Hey, speaking of, can I borrow yet another of your Stoppard collections? You know, like, now that there's a great deal more land-mass between us (though obviously not next week)? I kid. I'll finally get off my lazy ass and buy a copy.

I have never, ever loaned one of those to anyone and got it back within six months. It's bizarre.

Stoppard, too? Your taste is impeccable. My friends just did a really solid Rosencranz and Guildenstern, and I punched myself because I had already accepted a different show and couldn't audition.

All right, TC can stay.
