At this rate,

I'll be down to a Laff Riot and a new poll a week and that's it. Sorry, y'all. The day job has me up to my neck in misery. In the meantime, enjoy a quick late-night ramble on Dennis Dixon, the Yankees, and Mister Bonds, and this hasty list of what I've been reading this week while neglecting you all:
  • Cuz, I have never been more certain that we are actually related.
  • Coase Theorem Smackdown
  • Just do what I do--leave this window open all day, and when you need a giggle, peek back at the fuh-LAMING indignation in the comment thread.
  • No matter who you are, there's a pretty good chance that Brian Cook is smarter than you. Michigander or no, his umbrage is right on, and so is everyone else's.
  • The Ladies are tackling an unbelievably involved baseball something-or-other over at The Sporting News.
  • This one moment brought me so much joy last Saturday, and it's seriously carried me through my week. Am I the only one who finds this utterly charming and hysterical and not in a derisive sense? Oh, Uncle Verne:

The clip regrettably omits this exchange (no, really):

VERNE: "I am the son of a preacher man and I just got into it."
GARY: "Can't take THAT to Augusta."

Probably true....although we'd love to see him try.

Oh yeah, our lineage cannot be questioned. I've never felt closer to you or your Aunt Mothman.

That Wired thing killed at least an hour for me today. Thank you.
