When I knew we were in trouble: Chapter 4

I'd be hard-pressed to choose between Caesar's and Paris for the best setup in town. Caesar's had the edge on atmosphere, but in Paris, we made our own magic.

  • Step 1: Score dead center seats by mistiming the start of the games and wandering into the Theatre d'Arts when there are six other people in an auditorium that probably seats 900.
  • Step 2: Make covert run to grocery store, smuggle in $9 champagne, juice, and baguettes. WE'RE GOIN' TO FRANCE!
  • Step 3: Free wireless.

Paris FTW

At best count, we hit ten casinos yesterday, and that's a lot more impressive than it sounds. We spent the entire first half of the day in Paris and caught the late games at the MGM Grand, which has engineered their checkin queue brilliantly:

This in sharp contrast to the Imperial Palace, where the only welcome is a sign reading ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING IN LINE.
