tailgate tailgate tailgate tailgate tailgate. tailgate.

My boys are coming to visit! On a holiday weekend! Again! Only this time they're landing in the Rose Bowl....20 minutes from my veryown front door.

It. Is. On. Y'all.

I'll have an 800 sq ft apartment packed with relatives to deal with and I don't have any furniture, so I can't offer a crashpad, but if anyone needs travel/accommodations help of another sort, lemme know. Tailgate locale suggestions welcome...I know the surrounding area/CalTech campus pretty well, but I've never been for a game.

Hmmm...may have to find an excuse to head down south to see Slick Rick get his ass handed to him.

I find the golf course/parking lot to be a nice tailgating venue. It usually only opens 4-5 hours before a game (but they sometimes make exceptions). There is a lot that opens in the morning if you're looking for an all day place. Both are a quick walk to the stadium.

Absolutely. There is *no* reason not to tailgate on that golf course. Plenty of space, surprisingly well run (i.e. easy to get in and out, etc.)... Doing it anywhere else would be foolish.

Yessir.

(We will, in fact, need an all-day setup, is why I was asking.)

The side benefit to tailgating at Rosemont Golf Course: if you run out of food I think the restaurant in the club house is open during games and it's usually good stuff.

(Of course, that shouldn't have to happen.)

If you are looking for all day, then Lot H on the south side of the stadium is probably your best shot. It usually opens early on the morning of a game. Sometimes the golf course is opened up early (usually the sc game) and given the probable large crowd and being on labor day that might be a possibility.

Their stadium seats over 100,000 but they never have that many, correct? Tickets should be plentiful?
