Not to turn this into Feed The Children and send y'all free world maps, and not that ANYONE was of ANY HELP w/r/t the spring game or finding cute furniture (except Colin and The Greatest Breasts At Apple), but this Missing Sync thing is killing me. It's installed. It won't launch. This is a known issue in their knowledge base, but none of the suggested solutions are helping. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it like nine times. I've redownloaded the entire package twice. I've sent a trouble ticket in to Mark/Space, to no avail. The bigger problem being that once you install Missing Sync, it disallows syncing through HotSync, EVEN AFTER UNINSTALLING EVERYTHING MARK/SPACE RELATED AND DISABLING ALL RELATED CONDUITS, so I can't connect the Treo and the new laptop at all and that makes me nervous, the end.
Also, my apartment is full of giant moths and I don't know how they're getting in.
Check your bathroom exhaust opening.

Posted by: j at April 15, 2008 08:45 AMведьма! I've been out of town; did you have to unleash the plagues?
(Now that's a thought that's going to fester. I thought I was safe in the shower....visions of Tippi Hedren and Janet Leigh vs. Mothra.)
Posted by: Holly at April 15, 2008 09:46 AMI don't know what to say other than it's worked for me. I can send you the install package I have, if you like. I was also still able to hot sync, so who knows.
Posted by: bus at April 15, 2008 10:20 AMAccording to my friendly Mark/Space tech who wrote me back, they're having lots of problems with the migration to Intel-based Macs. It'll open just fine from a test account, but not from mine. So it's not the software.
Posted by: Holly at April 15, 2008 10:46 AMFollow Barstoolio's advice, but if you can't find it, buy a halogen lamp second-hand and crank it. You'll have to crack a window to get the smell of BBQ'ed bug out, though.
Posted by: Signal to Noise at April 15, 2008 11:48 AMWould that I could do something, but my experience with Missing Sync stopped at discovering it existed for a customer. I'll see if I can't discuss it with someone with access to more than just Kbase tomorrow.
Posted by: Allais at April 15, 2008 11:57 AMI don't know that channeling my ill-concealed inner interior design queen into the discovery that we have very little overlap in furniture requests counts as helping. But you're welcome.
Alas I have nothing on the Missing Sync front.
