Conquered! And conquered my ownself. (Subtext: You thought that my computer/PDA mishaps would save you from the new-Mac-owner LOOK AT MY NEW BAAAAAABY photo spread, but you were WRONG WRONG WRONG.)

It's beautiful. I'm getting teary-eyed remembering my Mac's unboxing.
Posted by: Peter Cavan at April 29, 2008 10:32 AMI had this buzzing in my ears for a few minutes after I opened mine....
Posted by: Big Daddy at April 29, 2008 10:39 AMYou seem like you'd be the person to ask for any Mac questions.
Posted by: goathair at April 29, 2008 10:49 AMWhy, whatever gave you that idea?
(Did you get everything installed OK?)
Posted by: Holly at April 29, 2008 10:58 AMSomewhere around 1:30 this morning, while liberating my 12th new iMac of the evening from its impeccably designed cocoon, it occurred to me I work in the geek equivalent of the porn industry and have been ruined for this sort of thing. This post proves I was right. I'm still excited for you though. Now if only I could get the smell of styrofoam out of my nostrils.
I did get to build a 10 foot tall fort out of boxed macbooks last week in the course of preparations for Tax-Free holiday, so it ain't all bad.
When I cracked it open my first thought was that the styrofoam padding looked like the fortress wall at the Parker. I need help.
(And I just sent it BACK to the Apple Store to get a working SuperDrive put in it. Le sigh.)

Posted by: Signal to Noise at April 30, 2008 01:17 AMEnough is enough. I'm going out and getting a MacBook Air. You don't know what you've started here, sweetheart.
Posted by: Doug at April 30, 2008 05:42 AMAllais, are people actually buying those? I test-drove one in the store for kicks and haaaaaaaaaaaaaated it.
