Papi is flying into my sullen embrace tomorrow. His latest movie got accepted into a festival in Hollywood, and for the next seven days there will be half-a-Hive roaming the streets of L.A., which is no kind of ready for the redneck hell about to be unleashed thereon.
Being the worst-behaved creature in this photo is no small accomplishment, but he's it. Papi and I were besties from the end of freshman year until he got up in my face when I wouldn't give him his keys because he was too drunk to drive home from the 'Skull, then I threw them at his head and told him I hoped he wrapped his car around a tree and died, then I went off to work on the campaign and when I got back there was another 'Skull party and he told everyone I wasn't speaking to him because we were playing a Saved by the Bell sex game and he was A.C. and I was Jessie and I was trying to stay in character, and when I found out I bit him really, really hard on the arm and ever since then we haven't had a single fight. This should give a vague impression of what to expect out of this week.
i have fond memories of helping you hide keys for that party and when he went crazy watching slightly drunk from the upstairs balcony.
love roo, have fun.
force is strength.
Posted by: roowalker at July 27, 2008 04:07 PMYou know, I wrote this thinking only of the horrified reactions to come from Joan, Kaitlin, and Joy, but I feel like we're going to need a dash of common sense to survive the week (did I mention he's staying with me?). Please get on a plane.
Posted by: Holly at July 27, 2008 04:09 PMI threw up several times while looking at this picture, then several more times reading the post. What I remember most vividly about that night is leaving the Skull in a state of merry glee while I helped John and Stewart get the stalled vehicle to a repair center in the middle of the night, then returning to find every light in the house blazing, an oppressive, malefic silence, and you locked in an upstairs bedroom with Casey's keys. Best night ever.
