From the Times Online, via AICN, George Lucas re: the fourth/FIFTH Indiana Jones films:
Really, with the last one, Steven wasn't that enthusiastic. I was trying to persuade him. But now Steve is more amenable to doing another one. Yet we still have the issues about the direction we'd like to take. I'm in the future; Steven's in the past. He's trying to drag it back to the way they were, I'm trying to push it to a whole different place.Pffft, right on! Because who wants another Indy movie in the mold of the first three?
Isn't everyone involved going to be dead fairly soon? Probably the fatter ones first?
...Too much?
Posted by: Big Daddy at July 28, 2008 10:46 PMOh. I see, I misread that, and though it meant they were now making a fifth goddamned one.
Posted by: Big Daddy at July 28, 2008 10:49 PMNo, you read it right. They're talking about the fourth one in the context of discussing making a fifth.
Posted by: Holly at July 28, 2008 10:54 PMCan they make one without George Lucas? One can only hope....
Posted by: ClydeB at July 28, 2008 10:55 PMThrow the fat one into the sarlac pit.
Posted by: Big Daddy at July 28, 2008 11:32 PMGeorge Lucas is still allowed to be involved in movies? Who dropped the ball there?
Posted by: carlinthemarlin at July 29, 2008 07:51 AMCan they make the Frank Darabont script that everyone agreed was supposed to be all sorts of awesome except, of course, for George Lucas
Posted by: Nick at July 29, 2008 11:46 AMI just want you all to know that I read "carlinthemarlin" as "colinfirthisamarlin". Try not to disturb the eels.
