I felt the earth move! (NO, REALLY, I FELT THE EARTH MOVE AND IT WAS NOT COOL.)

My first earthquake (that I didn't sleep through)! I'm fine, everyone I know is fine, a picture frame broke, and can that PLEASE NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN THAT SUCKED.

That's why the middle of the country is better. Our ground doesn't move underneath us. You know you miss that boring stability.

It's good to hear that everything's ok.

That sure got the heart pumping a little bit. Haven't had one that good in a little while. Good excuse for a liquid lunch methinks.

That is my favorite post title ever.

Then you'll LOVE this: Look in the comments of the previous post. Apparently I'm responsible for today's geological adventure.

I'm sure this happened because you legalized two dudes sacred unioning each other in the ass.

Also, my main man God hit the midwest and followed up with the gulf before you guys, because, well, he actually sent me to Hell sayin' he didn't need no reason.

WhiteSpeedReceiver - don't be too sure; I'm at Illinois for grad school, and we had a quake here in April. Think it was a 5.2 or so. We were 100 miles or so from the epicenter, so it didn't do much here, but it was still noticeable - Midwestern quakes tend to be felt over a really wide area even though they're generally weaker. (I slept through it, although that was probably due to the ungodly hours of TA grunt work the night before; a noticeable aftershock hit while I was in class the next morning.)

Glad to hear no major damage, though.

Here in Nebraska, we don't get quakes, but as we're literally floating on a giant aquifer, any quake we did get would likely cause the whole state to collapse into the water. There will be a movie about this starring Shia Labeouf and Jessica Alba in 3...2...1...

p.s. glad to here everything ok.
