I'm not familiar with Dallas, but between the unseemly start times for the Shootout and the old 10:30 a.m. kicks for the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day, I'm just assuming for future reference that Big D is basically like the zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic hellscape from "I Am Legend" after the sun goes down. If you're not done by 3:30 after the clocks change, the traffic just makes it that much easier for them.Posted by Nastinchka at June 2, 2009 09:54 AM
My parents (both Longhorns) raised me in part on the following anecdote which I chose to believe as unquestioned truth: At some point in the mid to late 70's, an African diplomat who was staying in Dallas was so startled by the Texas and ou fans on the night before the game that he barricaded himself in his hotel room fearing a revolution.
