BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE

Burma VJ
LIVIA: I don't know why this title immediately made me envision a cool, laid-back cobra with hipster hair posing behind a turn table (how does he scratch the records with no hands? I DON'T KNOW, GET OFF ME), but it did, and I liked it.
NASTINCHKA: I have nothing to add to this assessment.

The Cove
LIVIA: Hollywood loves to think of itself as green, and you don't get greener than people who essentially chain themselves to dolphins in order to save them.
NASTINCHKA: If you haven't read into any of the backstoryhere, check out what the Japanese dolphin-killing lobby tried to do to the people making this. TEAM DOLPHIN.

Food, Inc.
LIVIA: This is probably Jay's favorite movie. (Jay is fat.)
NASTINCHKA: What, this didn't get made into a clumsy narrative like Fast Food Nation?

The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers
LIVIA: Bullshit. We all know Jeremy Shockey is the most dangerous man in America. And the hottest.
NASTINCHKA: I actually saw this one and at the moment cannot differentiate it in my head from scenes of In the Loop.

Which Way Home
NASTINCHKA: The little girls from Rabbit-Proof Fence could crush these guys.

WINNER: The Cove.
