All I need you guys to remember before perusing this is that I have never worked for the Sporting News, and that I have no idea what appeared on that site to set this guy off. What we THINK happened is that this guy saw something on SN he didn't like, and saw my name in a sidebar thanks to our content-sharing agreement, and clicked, but if he hadn't, Gene Schuyler and I never would've met! What a treasure:

With all due respect, ....you have no respect for the ACC .... and you obviously have achieve the rank of true "Bimbo." Your knowledge of true hard hitting football is lacking...... why don't you go back to some kind of "girlie" oriented job..... its sad when people like you don't respect the hard playing on the field that 2 of the top teams in a conference put forth.

In fact, Virginia Tech has won 9 straight games... and Sporting News doesn't even cover it....they cover the likes of Notre Dame who can't even eke out much of a winning season.

It smacks of prejudice and your comments smack of "shrew." Have a good Day

Hi, Gene! Thanks for reading. I'm not actually sure which post you're referencing (unhelpful!), so let's just address a couple of general concerns:

1) Bimbo and shrew are sort of mutually exclusive, no?

2) I don't work for the Sporting News, so I don't really care what teams they cover. You should maybe talk to them about their Notre Dame coverage. I'm sure they're nice people.

3) You seem to be having problems with basic verb tenses. Maybe look into that.

4) You say the ACC gets no respect like it's a bad thing! Seriously, they're terrible. It's OK. Everybody is terrible this year. And Virginia Tech will get the respect you insist they deserve the year they don't lose to a I-AA team at home.

5) Finally, I'm not taking career advice from somebody who has an AOL email address and teaches card tricks for a living. Seriously, man, get it together. (Unless you're also a magician. Are you a magician? My niece has a birthday coming up, and she likes rabbits.)

You may wish to consider blogging on something you know....... which since you insist you aren't a bimbo has nothing to do with sports.

You can comment all you want about my verbage.... but I don't trash teams who have 9 game winning streaks. I might add that the University of Michigan lost to App State several years ago and went on to go to a bowl AND won that bowl in the same year. No one trashed them like you do the likes of Virginia Tech and Miami ........ I think instead of contacting you, I will contact the editors of the Sporting News that ran the blog. Maybe it had your name by mistake.... but if not, maybe they need to know.

Perhaps you should also read the article in the Sporting News about Frank Beamer this morning. They suggested he should be nominated for Coach of the Year....... but then again.... you probably would have been more favorably inclined if "the U" had been winning.

By the way I had a 25 year career in Marketing and Sales and sold magazine space for a living to the tune of increasing sales for a magazine 80% over the last year's sales. I was also a Director of Sales and Marketing for a non-profit magazine in the top 100 published magazines in the 90s and now make a substantial living running bridge clubs. If you want to talk about my profession maybe you should read about it ... I'm not a magician and you show your stupidity talking about the game of bridge as some kind of magician work.

In conclusion, please hire Eugene Schuyler of Alexandria, Virginia to set up YOUR next bridge club, because it sort of sounds like he needs something to do.
