Lost Entry 070

I'm back (but not like a vertebrae). I do, however, come with a hatful of tricks. Back with my sporty machine. Ees purdy.

Great party last night. I saw someones I hadn't seen since 7th grade. We set the yard on fire. I'm not kidding.

Lost Entry 069

I will be heading 'home' tomorrow, and seeing as how my precious sporty machine is locked away from me till Sunday morning at 8 a.m. (ooh, bedtime!!), there'll be no further posts till then. What will I ever do until then?? That's *rapidly counting on toes* three whole days!! Perhaps I shall distract myself with a eucalyptus tree or two...

I was reading Jesse's guestbook and stumbled across a quote by Nick that I think we should all live by. He commented that it was late and he was "going to bed...(liberally insert the word 'fuck')".

I'm in Orlando, kicking around theme parks with some old friends. My mom and brother are down visiting her dad and stepmom.

Josh punched a hole in our hotel room wall today. Because he missed my face. We're leaving early. I'm not going home this summer.

Lost Entry 066

Beware the Ides...miss you, M'lin.

Weekend, let's see...Friday night, Mexy and I grabbed our boy toys and headed out to OS to make tacos. I must say that we surpassed even our lofty standards. I was kept up nearly all night by the pepper oil that had seeped into my skin and under my fingernails before I had a chance to wash my hands. Anyway, my hands are peeling and I've got some blisters, but that's about it. I've spilled concentrated hydroiodidic acid on my foot, but this was right up there on the patented Owie-Fuck Scale.

Saturday--worked Moscow Ballet all (and do I mean ALL) day. It was fun; lots of techie bonding; lots of money made. Went to see Jesse and Nick tear the roof off at the K-town Con.

Sunday was sinfully restful. I slept super-late, went down to the river to feed the ducks, went out to dinner, then headed into Oak Ridge to see 'O Brother Where Art Thou?'.

Yesterday was...high and low. Played a great game of Ultimate, then fell and twisted the holy hell out of my ankle on game point. Not currently speaking to my S.O.

Things looked brighter once I got out of Knoxville. Jesse, Marshall, Keiran, and I went to see Hannibal again. Saw Jecca, which was great. I miss her so much and was glad to hear she's doing well. The movie was fantastic. I still got lots of goosebumps the second time around. Wandered over to Jesse's place around eleven to get our hearts stomped on by Titus. Jesse ripped me a copy of his New Year's set and the NGCBD video. Cain't help lovin' dat manchild.

We signed our JC lease this afternoon!

I saw O Brother, Where Art Thou? last night. Typical (which is to say atypical) Coen structure, beautiful soundtrack, and the movie itself wasn't half bad either. I absolutely loved it, needless to say. I'm going to see it again this weekend. Along with everything else that's playing at Downtown West, but I digress...

Midterms are over at last. O-chem is kicking my ass.

I want to reiterate again how much I loved Hannibal. I'm absolutely adamant about it, too. Hans Zimmer wrote a damn opera specifically for the film, and the cantata will move you to tears.

Mexy and I are going to make the boys cry with our taco-making skillzz this weekend. Everyone who hated Hannibal has a small lump of coal where their heart should be. Philistines. Plankton plankton plankton.

Lost Entry 064

I'm going to live in Jefferson Commons next year with some girls from my floor. This is the newest apartment complex in the fort. Expensive as hell, but well worth it. The way I see it, I'm going to be a starving artist for the rest of my life. I'll probably never make enough money to be able to live in a place like this again. Therefore, if I have the chance to live like a princess for the next year, I'm going to jump at it like a...something that jumps at something else really fast.

Saturday night marked the fourth party in a row that I have fallen asleep at. Not just crashed at the venue--drifted off to dreamland while there was still fun to be had. The closing Inherit party, Amy's last party, the infamous Mardi Gras party last week, and this weekend. I must be getting old.

My suitemates were in a car wreck this weekend. Courtney's Z3 drifted into the wrong lane and they were struck by two cars and a semi. No one knows why they aren't both dead, including the cops. Apparently, there is some sort of structural feature of the Z3 that was in the right place to brace the right impact at the right time. They are very, very, lucky to be here and we are very, very lucky to have them back.

Shane put a poll up on his site to see who was deemed the most valuable addition to last week's party. Two people voted for me, and I can't for the life of me imagine why. I'm going to vote for Jeremy because no one voted for him yet and that whole passing-out-and-falling-out-the-window episode's gotta count for something. I wonder if Matt ever got his window fixed...
