RUM, BUGGERY, AND THE LASH

I'm teething. Seriously. Ow. Dropped Arabic for Russian, might be postponing German for a semester to take a stage management practicum, since I only have two more German classes before I graduate and three theatre classes, and three semesters to fit them all in. But enough about me. I know what you want: Snark me, Amadeus!!

THIS MORNING
I SHOT SIX HOLES IN MY FREEZER
I THINK I'VE GOT CABIN FEVER

See, I need to not sleep when I should be posting. Everything that happened on the first day of school has lost its bitter edge of hilarity, and thus far, only my mother has heard the full story, right after it happened. She seemes to like it. Suffice to say, last Wednesday bore an alarming resemblance to my first day of school in Malta. Go figure. So I'm completely moved in, as of last night, posters up and everything. My room is cozified (cozx0red?). So. Fast forward through moving, my first three days of school (well, two, but we're not discussing that), Nick leaving, and the kickoff party Friday night (and much of Saturday morning). I'm about to start my first week of school. I dropped Arabic for reasons I'll go into later. Maybe I'll take up Russian instead. It's the only thing that can fit into my schedule. In other news, I have all my pictures sized and uploaded, and barring natural or unnatural disaster you should see new Snarkage later tonight. Salut.

RENT-A-CARS AND WESTBOUND TRAINS

I'm done with work at last. I thought about stealing towels or doing something otherwise symbolic, but my heart wasnt't in it. While I'm at it--this probably goes without saying, but work is a bad place to watch Office Space.

If you ask me what I'm doing this week, here's what I'll say:

Tomorrow (later today): Shopping with Mom, packing.
Tomorrow (fo' shizzle): Pax0ring (no, not watching PAX. Sheesh.).
Monday: Moving.
Tuesday: Buying books, registering for seminars, running around campus to see what's changed in the 8 months I've been away, getting drunk with all my school folk in the Fort.
Wednesday: School starts. And Wednesdays are the worst. Bear witness: My Arabic class is at 10 AM MWF on The Hill. In the Nuclear Engineering building. Crikey. So there's that, then German till noon, then documentary video class, then CS seminar, then video cinematography class. Pity me.
Thursday: By comparison, not a whole lot. History of Jefferson's America and advanced French grammar. Probably a seminar too.
Friday: A little more school. Just Arabic and German. Oh, and 'Bus hightails it Up North then. This will not be a good day.

Thankfully, most of my classes are closer together than I thought a minute ago when I was on Wednesday, but looking back on the past few semesters, I'm not sure they'll stay that way. Also, as a result of being done with me theatre major, I'm waay out of my Melrose-CBT-Humanities comfort zone now. (Humanities I won't miss so much.) Just as an example: My film classes are in the Art building and the library. History? In the History building. The sanity ends there. German in the NE building, French in the Business bulding, and German in the Secondary Education building. This is almost as much fun as having Theatre History in the annex of the campus computer help desk center last year. But not quite. I wonder if they've fixed the giant fucking hole in the middle of campus yet.

So you wanna ask me what's up? For a week or so, check here first. I'll be cranky. Stay tuned.

P.S. I added "panties" to the keywords for this page on a dare. Watch that counter spike!!

Really Bad Eggs

Ladies aaaaaand gentlemen, Snarkastic is proud to present: The Pirates of the Caribbean Drinking Game:

Ingredients: Rum. Lots of it.

The Rules:
When you hear the word 'pirate': Say 'Arrrrr' and take 1 drink. The last person to say "arrrrrr" or anyone who thinks it's stupid and gets bored with it takes 3 drinks.
The skeleton pirates defy physical and/or natural law: 1 drink.
Jack gets slapped: 2 drinks.
The parrot speaks: 2 drinks.
Someone refers to Johnny Depp being Captain Jack Sparrow: 2 drinks.
A black character, in this movie ostensibly set in the Caribbean, is introduced: 3 drinks.
Elizabeth's necklace is ripped from her neck without undoing the clasp first: 3 drinks.
The necklace reappears around her neck, intact: 3 drinks.
Someone on the screen actually utters the word "Arrrrrr": 4 drinks.
Rum punch rule: Every time you hear the word "rum": Pass around a bottle of rum; everyone must take a swig. After passing the bottle, punch the person who gave it to you.
Johnny Depp utters the line "Pirate": drain your drink.
Geoffrey Rush says "You've only got one shot and we can't die": drain your drink.
Geoffrey Rush says "No, not you; we named the monkey Jack": drain your drink.
If you spot Orlando Bloom with pointy ears: drain your drink and whatever your neighbor doesn't finish, then pour another, cause it's gonna be a long night.
Drink up me hearties, yo ho!!

Rub some dirt on it

Hey y'all, I'm sorry I've been AWOL for a coupla days, but 'Bus is sick and I've been taking care of his sorry ass. ;) Send him some good vibes, muchachos, cause he don't look so hot. I made him watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding today (captive audiences rock), and he laughed in all the right places. Good bus. "You've got a weird family--who doesn't?" Hee. I also saw October Sky, which for some reason I've never, ever seen, and it was a lot better than I thought it would be.

My mom used to live in the very same town where the movie takes place. That's where she grew up. So if you haven't already seen it, go watch and take note--the living conditions there? Are just like that in real life. Only worse. My grandfather actually knew Homer Hickam, and some of my cousins went to school with him. So it was kinda cool to finally see the movie. Anyway. Kitty. x0r. Yeah, this post wasn't much better, was it? I can't sleep. Tomorrow I'll post the PotC drinking game, and if that won't make for entertaining reading, nothing will.

CYMRAES FACH

So yesterday at work I kept getting all these phone calls from the Doubletree Hotel and wondered all day where the damn thing was. Now I know, and this is important if you don't live here, so sit up and pay attention and keep your hands off your dick for a NY Minnit.

THE GARDEN PLAZA HOTEL, WHERE THE PARTY IS TO TAKE PLACE, IS NOW A DOUBLETREE HOTEL. DON'T GET CONFUSED AND GO LOOKING FOR A HOTEL THAT SAYS GARDEN PLAZA, CAUSE THERE AIN'T ONE.

The GP became a Doubletree literally YESTERDAY, with no warning. I don't know if the outside of the place says so yet, but it might by Saturday. So heads up. This concludes our broadcast day.

NAUGHTY BITS

A whole, whole lot going on, but not much of that's fit for consumption here. I went to Virginia to see various relatives, and some pretty amazing stuff happened, but it's better in the verbal, so if you want to know, ask.

Then a couple days later I went to Florida for my grandfather's funeral. When the funeral was the highlight of your four-day trip to the beach, you know there's something amiss with the company you keep.

In a nutshell, that's why I've been biting the head off anyone who begs for Snarks. I'm sorry, but I literally have 95 single-spaced pages of these things, and I'm neurotic about their selection, and the time I could expend working on them is currently being rerouted to seeing my fambly and spending every spare moment with 'Bus....who's leaving in 21 days and who I will not see again till October at the very, very earliest.

Yeah, I thought that'd shut you up.

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!! P.S. I made I Pirates of the Caribbean Drinking Game!! It's funny!! Ask me how!! (Also, a lot of people keep asking me about the sex advice book. It's actually an evolutionary biology book, believe it or not, but in the guise of smut. Lesen Sie.)
